First Bloom and Glow is an annual event to celebrate the first blooms of the roses. It has also become a fundraiser for the maintenance of the Rose Garden.The event takes place in the Rose Garden from 6:30PM until 8:30PM. There are usually 5 to 6 local vendors in the garden with various food items. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from a committee member, board member,Wayne County Foundation office or at the Welcome Center. Then the Hot air Balloons begin to set up in the area next to the garden. The Glow of the balloons happens shortly after 9PM around dusk.
