The unique fence added in 2012 along US Highway 40 which borders the south end of the Richmond Rose Garden was designed by local landscape designer, Jeremy Vincent, to meet some specific needs of the Garden. The fence openings allow quick views of the roses for those driving east while the Ondura panels facing west protect the roses from salt spray and other debris. The large rock inside the Garden behind the west end of the fence has a plaque representing several members of the community who contributed to this project.
